Garden Maintenance Calendar 2017

There are free Garden Tours at 9:00 a.m. every Saturday that there is maintenance.

You may also take a tour every Friday morning at 9:30 a.m..  Meet in the library lobby.

Please join the Garden Maintenance Committee crew for volunteer work maintaining the Durango Botanical Society’s Library Demonstration Garden. This beautiful and educational garden is maintained solely by volunteers. As a volunteer you will learn more about gardening and plants that are suitable and appropriate for our area. You can relax and reduce stress by being in a quiet, peaceful environment. We will work in the garden every Saturday morning starting in April ending in October.Learn how to win some great gifts by volunteering for this committee in the spring.You can set your own schedule once you attend two Saturday sessions.

 April 15th through May 27th  meet at 9:00 am   June, July and August meet at 8:00   No work days on June 10th and 24th.

Emails are sent out to let volunteers know what projects they will be working on and what we need. We also send text messages. Let us know what works for you when you show up at the garden. Current volunteers will receive an email informing you of the text option. Please reply so Lynn knows how to send you information.

Bring your work gloves, favorite tools, hat, sunglasses and water a bag/bucket for trimmings. Set your own time schedule, most volunteers will work an hour to an hour and a half.  Come enjoy and learn!
