JOIN US AS WE EXPLORE A WORLD WHERE SCIENCE MEETS ART

SCIENCE: LEARN HOW TO IDENTIFY PLANTS ART: BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION (DRAWING)

Explore the world of plant science using drawing as the vehicle to learn plant identification including anatomy and botanical language. The class will incorporate a wide variety of subjects, ranging from flowers, to vegetables, trees, ferns, succulents, and fungi.

Utilize the well-established tradition of careful observation and realistic drawing to learn the skills and artistic techniques to render the plant world in scientific detail, while creating beautiful and accurate drawings.

This fun and educational series is aimed at anyone who is interested in learning more about the world of plants, including artists wishing to improve their drawing skills, scientists, gardeners, nature journalists, and illustrators.

This is an 8 week course that meets every Wednesday starting Jan, 29th through March 19th, from 9 am to 11 am.

We will have a microscope  in class.
